"If your God is so mighty, why doesn't He speak my language?"
A Cakchiquel (Guatemala) man to SIL founder William Cameron Townsend
SIL Cameroon for a week will present her scientific know-how during the National Agro pastoral Show in Ebolowa. Though some people may understand the link between SIL’s work and agro pastoral development, many are still asking why SIL is involved in such an event. The answer is very simple. You can be developed without a clear understanding of what is required of you neither can you manage effectively if you don’t have the understanding of the project you are involved in. Through language development, people and mostly rural citizens can read and learn about their own development. They are better placed to be involved and integrate the necessary changes in their behaviour and attitudes. SIL does that more effectively than anyone else around.
